There is a well-known adage in Mahayana Buddhism: “The Dharma is like the great ocean; only through faith can it be entered.”
The first step in expressing one’s faith in the Buddha’s teachings is by taking the three refuges and five precepts. They are the sine qua non of the Buddhist path. Due to popular request, we will be conducting a Three Refuge & Five Precepts Ceremony this Sunday, January 21st for lay practitioners wishing to formally enter the spiritual path towards enlightenment. Friendly reminder：All participants will need to come prepared before the ceremony with the appropriate Buddhist robes and sashes. They can also be purchased at our gift shop in the mezzanine level of the Gracious Hall.
