General Guan (Protector of Buddhism)

General Guan, also known as Lord Kwan or Kwan the Noble, is the Protector of Buddhism. He opposes all who disrupt the peace. He is responsible for guarding the realm against external enemies, as well as internal rebels. The redness of His face represents loyalty and righteousness. Contributions made to honour General Guan protect us from evil, harm, disaster, and illness. They also bring good fortune, and help us overcome obstacles.
