Triple Refuge and Five Precepts Ceremony
The Triple Refuge refers to taking refuge in the Buddha, the Dharma, and the Sangha — the Three Jewels. The Five Precepts are the fundamental moral principles of Buddhism. Unless one does not believe in or practice Buddhism, every believer and practitioner should take the Triple Refuge and uphold the Five Precepts. Taking refuge marks the entry into the path of Buddhism, while observing the Five Precepts is the essential foundation for all Buddhist practice.
