Triple Gem Refuge and Five Precepts Ceremony
Objective:
Taking refuge in the Triple Gem forms the foundation of faith in the Buddha and practice of Buddhism, while observing the Five Precepts and upholding the Ten Wholesome Deeds are the fundamentals of all precepts.
By upholding refuge in the Triple Gem and observing the Five Precepts, we will receive the blessings of the Triple Gem, purify our body and mind, return to our pure intrinsic nature, and discover the value of life.
Requirements:
All male and female practitioners who are true believers in Buddhism and have a sincere intention to take refuge vows or to observe the five precepts are required to participate in the two-day Dharma talk and the Refuge Ceremony.
Respectfully invite the present abbot of the International Buddhist Society Guan Yin Temple of Vancouver, Canada — Venerable Guan Cheng.
Ceremony Date: 23rd November 2025 (Sunday)
Venue: Main shrine of Leong Hua See Temple
How to register: Submit a duly completed application form obtained from the temple or download online, filled out with all required information together with 2 recent 1-inch photos.
Date of registration: From this date until registration is full.
Place to register: The application form can be submitted via email, WhatsApp, or delivered physically to the Temple.
