Located in the Thousand Buddha Hall, the altar enshrines a Medicine Buddha statue and a graceful Thangka mural of the Seven Medicine Buddhas, which was created from the meticulous craft of Sangha members from a monastic institute in Nepal. The solemn altar is decorated by twelve banners representing the Medicine Buddha’s twelve guardians, and rows of lotus flower lamps. The Medicine Buddha made twelve vows to eliminate all sentient beings’ physical and mental sufferings arising from their ignorance. Honouring the Medicine Buddha helps to dispel disasters and brings one good health and longevity.
